Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 June 2026

These terms set out the deal between you and Travelist when you plan trips, use groups, and book flights and hotels through our website at thetravelist.uk and the Travelist mobile app (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully — by using the Service you agree to them.

The short version

  • Travelist helps you plan trips with your group and book travel from third-party suppliers — their terms apply to your bookings too.
  • You’re responsible for your account, the content you share, and your own travel documents.
  • You must be 18 or over to book, and use the Service for personal trips only.
  • Nothing here removes your statutory rights as a consumer.

This summary is for convenience only — the full terms below are what apply.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Service. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. How we handle your personal data is set out separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. Who we are

Travelist is a trading name of AGBO Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16788082), with its registered office at Flat 53, Fairlie House, 76 Brunner Road, E17 7GA. In these Terms, “Travelist”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean AGBO Ventures Ltd. You can reach us at hey@agboventures.com.

3. Who can use Travelist

To use the Service you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements. If you create or manage a group, or make a booking that includes other people, you confirm you have their permission to share their details and to act on their behalf.

4. Your account

You’ll need an account to save trips, use groups, and make bookings. You agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hey@agboventures.com if you think someone has used your account without your permission.

5. Acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service to plan and book your own trips. You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
  • post content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection to a person or group;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its security;
  • scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Service except as we expressly allow; or
  • use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.

We may remove content or suspend access if you break these rules.

6. Groups & your content

The Service lets you create and join groups to plan trips together — sharing destinations, preferences, votes, and messages. You’re responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it. Content you share in a group is visible to the other members of that group.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate and provide the Service. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or that we’re required to remove. Please treat other members with respect.

7. Booking travel

The Service lets you search for and book travel — such as flights and hotels — provided by third-party travel suppliers, for example airlines and accommodation providers. When you make a booking, you enter into a contract with the relevant supplier, and that supplier’s own terms and conditions apply to your booking in addition to these Terms. Where we can, we’ll make those terms (or a link to them) available before you book.

You’re responsible for checking the details of each booking — including names, dates, times, and prices — before you confirm it. Availability and prices are confirmed at the point of booking and may change beforehand. A booking is only confirmed once you receive confirmation from us or the supplier.

8. Prices & payment

Prices are shown in the currency indicated and, unless stated otherwise, include applicable taxes and mandatory charges. We’ll show you the total price before you confirm a booking. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; by submitting a payment you authorise the charge for the amount shown. If a price is obviously wrong, we or the supplier may decline or cancel the affected booking and offer you a refund or the chance to rebook at the correct price.

9. Changes, cancellations & refunds

Whether a booking can be changed or cancelled — and any fees or refunds that apply — is determined by the terms of the relevant supplier and the details shown to you at the time of booking. Some bookings are non-refundable or carry change fees. To request a change or cancellation, follow the instructions in your booking confirmation or contact us and we’ll help where we can. Any separate Travelist service fee, where charged, may be non-refundable. None of this affects your statutory rights — see Disclaimers & your statutory rights.

10. Your travel responsibilities

You’re responsible for making sure you can travel. This includes holding a valid passport and any required visas, meeting entry, health, and vaccination requirements, and arriving in time for your travel. We strongly recommend taking out suitable travel insurance. Requirements vary by destination and can change, so please check the latest guidance (for example, from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) before you travel. We’re not responsible for losses caused by your failure to meet these requirements.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on, and links to, services we don’t control — including travel suppliers, our payment provider, and mapping and analytics providers. We’re not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties, and your use of their services may be subject to their own terms. Our Privacy Policy lists the providers we work with.

12. Intellectual property

The Service — including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, but excluding your content and content owned by suppliers — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited licence to use the Service as set out in these Terms and don’t grant you any other rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our permission. “Travelist” and our logo are our trade marks and may not be used without our consent.

13. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and running well, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or withdraw all or part of the Service, and may add or remove features, at any time. Where it’s reasonable to do so, we’ll give you notice of significant changes.

14. Disclaimers & your statutory rights

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don’t make promises about the products or services provided by suppliers, which are their responsibility.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you’re a consumer, you have legal rights that these Terms do not limit or exclude.

15. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to the above:

  • we are not the supplier of the travel services you book, and we are not liable for the acts, omissions, or default of suppliers;
  • we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or that arise from your breach of these Terms or your failure to meet travel requirements; and
  • our total liability to you for any claim connected with a booking is limited to the amount you paid to us for that booking, and for any other claim connected with the Service is limited to £100.

The Service is for personal use only, and we are not liable for any business losses.

16. Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you may close your account by contacting us. We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if we’re required to by law, or if we stop providing the Service. Closing your account doesn’t affect bookings you’ve already made, which remain subject to the relevant supplier’s terms. Any provisions that by their nature should survive — including those on content licences, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes to the Service or the law. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know through the Service. By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer resident in another part of the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
